Today a man named Nick Carraway moved into the cottage next to my home. He was a middle class man who moved from the West. Today, yet again, no sign of Daisy. However, as I looked out my window this evening I noticed Mr. Carraway boating across the sound in the direction of the Buchanan house. Maybe he knows something.
July 29, 1922Today was the most amazing day I have experienced in my many years of life. Today was the day I was reunited with my long lost love, Daisy. She came to tea at Nick's and I was there as well. We never actually drank tea though. Daisy and Nick accompanied me to my house for a grand tour. I did not know what to show her first. She is an angel. She is my love. If Tom were not in the way we could go and leave, right now. I showed her my shirts and she became overwhelmed and started to cry, I showed her all of the news paper clippings I had saved so I could just get one glimpse of her name or picture of her cherubic face. Oh, Daisy...how I have missed her. I do not know how to thank Nick, he has done the greatest favor a friend could do, the old sport.
august 26, 1922The end of summer is hear. The leaves are starting to change and the weather is cooling down. I want to use my pool today, before the men drain it and before the leaves start to fall in it. A new life begins in the autumn.

Today is the longest day of the year. The longest day without Daisy. Maybe the new neighbor can help us reunite.
July 15, 1922This evening I am throwing one of my parties. I hoped to meet my new neighbor. I sent an invitation to his house this afternoon so hopefully he will attend. The orchestra is obscenely loud and the dancing is marvelously fast. The guests are practically roaring. Not many people help themselves to the food, their main concern is just the alcohol.
I sat down with some guests at a table, only two of them mattered to me. Jordan Baker and Nick Carraway. I recognized Nick from the war, he was a dashing young man and Jordan from the ladies golf tournament. Jordan and Nick will be of wonderful help in the hunt for Daisy. I called a man to go get Jordan and bring her to talk with me. She told me all about Nick Carraway, he is Daisy's second cousin and they have become close. I instructed Jordan to tell Nick all about Daisy and I, all about our old love and time together before the war. She is to instruct Nick to invite Daisy over for teas and to not bring Tom and I will also go to Nick;s that day and we will be reunited and our love will be restored. august 25, 1922Today was a fateful day...for many reasons. It was the hottest day of the summer and not only in the sense of weather. Nick, Jordan, the Buchanans and I were all together for a lunch when we decided to go to New York for the day to pass the time and have fun. Daisy and I drove Tom's car and Tom, Jordan, and Nick took my car. We decided to go to the Plaza and get a room. That is when things took a turn for the worse. The topic of Daisy and I arose. Tom had finally figured it out. The room was in an uproar and Tom and I started screaming at each other and I told him that Daisy ever loved him. Words cannot describe the fight that come about. Daisy and I stormed out of the hotel and took my car back to Long Island when an awful thing happened. Daisy was driving because she thought it would calm her nerves but she was going very fast through the valley of ashes and all of a sudden a woman ran out in front of the car and Daisy ran her over....the horror. Daisy killed a woman.
